About Adesoba Adewumi Michael's work:
Photo Theme:
Love (Wedding Photograph)
Photo Story:
Early this year, the bride reached out to me with a simple but meaningful request.

She didn’t just want wedding photographs. She wanted a wedding story—one that would tell how they met, portray their love and togetherness, and capture a promise to never leave each other.

That request made me realize that this wasn’t going to be just another wedding shoot. It was an opportunity to turn their journey into visual memories—images that would speak even when words could no longer tell the story.

And then came this moment…

Under one umbrella, surrounded by darkness, they found their own little world.

The umbrella became more than protection. It became a symbol of togetherness—a reminder that no matter what storms life brings, they have chosen to stand under the same umbrella.

The darkness surrounding them made the light on them even more powerful.

It reminded me that love doesn't need a perfect environment to shine. Sometimes, all it needs is two hearts willing to stay.

This photograph tells the promise they wanted their wedding story to carry:
“When the rain comes, I will stay.
When the storms come, I will stand with you.
When life gets dark, I will still choose you.”

What started as a request to document their love became an opportunity to tell their story through light, shadows, emotions, and symbolism.

How long has Adesoba Adewumi Michael loved photography:
9 years now
How they discovered their passion for photography:
It all started when I was in 300 Level at the Federal University of Technology, Akure, studying Metallurgical and Materials Engineering. At the time, my passion for visual storytelling began to grow stronger, and photography became more than just a hobby—it became a dream I wanted to pursue. While still attending lectures, I started building my skills, nurturing my passion, and envisioning the creative future I wanted. After graduation, I had the opportunity to handle a camera for the first time, and that moment changed everything for me. Since then, I have continued to learn, grow, and tell stories through visuals. Today, I’m still pursuing that dream, capturing moments and creating memories with purpose
