About Daniel Rotimi's work:
Photo Theme:
Dual Perspectives: Clarity vs. Blur
Photo Story:
Life is always in two shades—the reflection that blurs and confines, and the horizon that opens with clarity. The choice lies in where we focus. In the mirror, the world appears vague, its details softened, as though light itself hesitates to reveal the truth. It is the side of life where clarity slips away, where effort feels unrewarded, and stormy hours linger without promise of dawn. Yet beyond the mirror lies another view—the horizon painted in bold colors, open and expansive, reminding us that clarity is never lost, only waiting for our gaze to shift. Between these two shades, life asks us to decide: will we remain in the blur, or turn toward the light that sharpens every detail?

All it takes is a change of focus. To endure the bitter truth of the blurred lens, you must resist the familiarity of pain and vagueness and turn your gaze elsewhere. Shift to a scope that pays attention to detail, where clarity emerges without effort—like the lamppost in the mirror, dim yet distinct, quietly demanding notice. As our people say: “life no balance,” but it is ours to straighten. Escape the confusion of squinting and live in the reality of true clarity. For life will always be in two shades—the reflection that blurs, and the horizon that sharpens—waiting for us to choose where to look.
How long has Daniel Rotimi loved photography:
Seven Years
How they discovered their passion for photography:
During the Covid-19 lock down, I found so much comfort in taking images and videos of birds and the trees that surrounded my home, as I had nothing to do.

At that tender age of 10, I saw the beauty of nature through a scope, that almost every night, I'll take pictures of the moon through my window. I just wanted to see the beauty in things and photography was a great work of viewing it clearly.

Druing the lockdown, I watched over 50 photography tutorial videos on YouTube and over 20 photography setup videos, dreaming that one day I'll get to have a setup of my own, and run my own photography lab.

Up until now, the dream still lives, as day after day, my phone sees new pictures of nature, myself and other people who love my work.

My passion for photography also gave birth to a skill in photo editing.
