Just after completing my photography training, I stepped outside with my camera, eager to practice what I had learned. The evening sun was slowly setting, painting the sky in a warm golden glow.

With my camera and tripod stand in hand, I walked briskly for a few meters to a seemingly perfect location to capture the beauty I saw above.

After taking a few straight shots, I decided to use this simple plant, standing quietly between my lens and the sun, its silhouette gently dancing in the evening breeze, for my next few shots.

In that moment, I was reminded why I love nature so much. It doesn’t force beauty, it simply reveals it to those who pause long enough to notice. I lifted my camera, captured the scene, and realized that photography is not just about taking pictures, but about learning to truly see the beauty that nature offers every day.

How they discovered their passion for photography:

I discovered my passion for photography in 2012, when I realized that as a storyteller, I needed to take my own pictures to tell a better story. An elder reminded me that a picture speaks more than a thousand words, and I know what I had to do to get a thousand words.
