A memory in one frame

Photo Story:

On 10/08/2022, this photo was taken during what was supposed to be a simple birthday photoshoot for my nephew. The original plan was just to capture some normal birthday pictures. But before the shoot, my boss told me something that changed everything: “Make it creative and something that will be good for memories.”

So instead of ordinary poses, I decided to tell a story through the camera. The umbrella, the quiet street, and the rain atmosphere all came together naturally. My nephew simply walked and smiled, and that real moment became the perfect shot.

As photographers, we know that a great photograph doesn’t always need many words. The expression, the moment, and the environment already speak.

When the editing was done, the image became even more powerful. The rain effect and color tones helped bring out the feeling of the moment.

What started as a birthday shoot on 10/08/2022 turned into a creative memory captured forever through photography.

How long has Lawal Kehinde loved photography:

I started loving photography a few years ago when I discovered how a single picture can capture emotions, memories, and stories. Since then, my passion has continued to grow as I keep learning new techniques and creative ways to express moments through the camera.

How they discovered their passion for photography:

I discovered my passion for photography a few years before 2022. I started becoming interested in how cameras capture moments and emotions that words sometimes cannot express. Over time, the more I practiced and learned about composition, lighting, and editing, the more my passion grew.
