About Bolaji Oladeinde 's work:
Photo Theme:
It is centered on the psychological experience of attachment anxiety, specifically the internal conflict between self-preservation and the fear of emotional abandonment. “Echo of Myself” explores the fragmented relationship between identity and validation. The image reflects the moment where a person begins to recognize how much of themselves has been shaped by the need to be chosen, loved, or reassured. It captures the tension between the version of oneself that performs for acceptance and the quieter self that longs for emotional security. At its core, the photograph examines how attachment patterns echo within us, even in solitude.
Photo Story:
“Echo of Myself” was inspired by the realization that attachment anxiety is not always loud, sometimes it exists quietly in the way we perform strength while craving reassurance. The image grew from observing how easily we shape ourselves to be loved, and how difficult it can be to sit alone with our own reflection without seeking external validation.

This photograph captures that subtle moment of awareness, when you begin to recognize the patterns you’ve been living in, and you start questioning which parts of you are authentic and which were created out of fear of being abandoned.
How long has Bolaji Oladeinde loved photography:
9+ years
How they discovered their passion for photography:
I fell in love with photography through nature. I was initially drawn to landscape photography, capturing open spaces, light, and quiet moments outdoors. That was what first pulled me in.

As I continued, I began to notice more than just scenery. I started seeing emotion in light, tension in stillness, and stories hidden in simple frames. Over time, photography became more than documenting nature, it became the way I process and express my own emotions. What started with landscapes gradually evolved into exploring human feelings within a single still image.
