The Woman Who Remembered She Was Royal
They told her to shrink.
To be soft-spoken.
To dim her glow.
To tone down her presence.
To remove the gele.
To remove the gold.
To remove the pride.

So she stepped into the shadows.
For years, she sat in silence.
Watching.Listening.Learning.

But shadows do something powerful
They teach you who you are when no one is clapping.

One day, she remembered.
Her grandmother’s voice.
Her mother’s strength.
The bloodline of women who carried markets on their heads and nations in their wombs.

She was never ordinary.
She was royalty wrapped in melanin.
She was legacy dressed in silk.
She was gold that did not need permission to shine.

So she returned , not louder, Just powerful.
The gele became her crown.
The gold became her armor.
The darkness became her throne.
And this time,she did not ask to be seen.
She simply existed

Just grew into loving photography, I have always loved art as a kid, drew a lot, when I knew I could create art and tell significant stories with a camera, i took it from there.
