About Lois Stanley's work:
Photo Theme:
My photo 'Incy bincy spider' is centered on the overlooked beauty of spiders that we often overlook. Spiders are often around us all the time, but because we don't care to pay attention to where they could be, we miss out on studying their elegance, delicateness, and overall intrigue.
Photo Story:
I had been in my grandma's house and had seen so many cobwebs in the lights, and I wondered if there were any spiders and how long they had just watched us above. I love animals of all kinds, so I instantly got my camera to figure it out and experiment with some settings too. It took me using a macro lens with my DSLR to even see the spider in the first place, and it just looked so beautiful, delicate and unseen. This photo is to capture the beauty of a companion that is often around us but just as much ignored unless it's extremely huge. It was like a reminder of the beauty in the little quiet things.
How long has Lois Stanley loved photography:
I've loved photography since I was in JSS3 in secondary school which would make it 7 years as I am currently a recent graduate.
How they discovered their passion for photography:
I discovered my passion for Photography during a trial Photography class I attended in JSS3. I watched the 9/11 bombing attacks on the Twin Towers in the U.S. and from then on, I began taking pictures to tell stories and strived to impact at least one perspective of an individual on a specific subject matter. My drive for photography is to touch one soul after another as pictures say much more than words ever can.
