This photograph is from a personal project of mine titled “A Love Letter to Blackness.” The project was inspired by my deep admiration for the beauty of melanin and the natural elegance of African women, their skin, their hair, their presence.

This particular image is called “Her Peace.” It reflects the calm that a woman carries within her.
The green palm symbolizes her connection to nature. The white fabric represents the purity of her heart. A reminder that Black women are not only resilient and strong, but also gentle, peaceful, and beautifully whole.

I've loved photography for 5 years.

How they discovered their passion for photography:

I came across a YouTube channel called “iPhone Photography school,” and I was drawn to how they created such beautiful images using just a mobile phone. I started practicing the techniques they shared, and over time, it grew from something I was simply trying out into something I genuinely loved. What began as experiments on my phone slowly developed into a real passion, one that eventually became my profession.
