The magic in this photo, 'The Golden Curtain,' lies entirely in the lighting. I was fascinated by the way the setting sun was creating such a dramatic, backlit scene. I purposefully composed the shot to leverage the silhouette technique, turning the foreground elements—the trees, the palm, and the poles—into bold, graphic shapes. The intense gradient of the sky, with its striking orange and sepia tones, provides the perfect backdrop, making the edges of the palm tree almost glow. It's a study in shadow and light, showing how darkness can give definition and intensity to one of nature's most spectacular daily performances.

When I was in my first year at school, I got inspired to take a shot of my window in the morning as the sun was rising. After taking that shot and seeing the result, it sparked up the zeal in me and it has not died since.
