About Oluwatobi Olukayode's work:
Photo Theme:
This photo is centered on form, contrast, and perspective, This is not just a photo of a building. It’s a meditation on stillness in structure, balance in design, and emotion in simplicity.
Photo Story:
Beauty in Overlooked Places
I have always had a keen eye — I turn “ordinary” into art. Many would pass by this scene without a second glance, but I saw depth in its simplicity. That’s what sets me apart.
How long has Oluwatobi Olukayode loved photography:
I think I’ve always loved photography long before I ever touched a camera.
Even as a kid, I found myself pausing to stare at things others walked past: the way light fell on a wall, the silence in a corner, the emotion in someone’s eyes when they weren’t trying to be seen.

I didn’t have the words back then.
But I had the instinct of the one that told me, “This moment matters.”
Photography didn’t start for me with gear or tutorials.
It started with feeling things deeply.
By noticing the mood in empty places, I am drawn to shadows more than spotlights.
With capturing emotions I couldn’t explain.
Maybe I officially picked up a camera just a few years ago…
But truthfully?
I’ve been seeing the world through a lens all my life —
a lens shaped by paradoxes, solitude, questions, and quiet beauty.
This isn't just a passion.
It’s a part of me the way I understand the world,
The way I heal, and the way I stay alive.
How they discovered their passion for photography:
i got into photography because some feelings are too quiet for words. Photography was my escape from depression, and it helped with my ADHD
I discovered my passion for photography in 2019.
It started with me capturing random moments on my phone — not because they were perfect, but because they made me feel something.

At the time, I didn’t know what I was doing. I just knew that framing light, shadows, and emotions gave me a sense of peace.
By 2020, it became more than a habit, it became a way to express what I couldn’t always say out loud.
