The theme of the photo is centred on Mother Nature: The Sun in relation to African history.

Photo Story:

My inspiration came from a deep connection I share with nature. From a tender age, I’ve always been fascinated by the sun, and all its benefits and healing properties.
Later when I became a photographer, I got fascinated with how light can transform a simple photo into a work of art.
So when I wanted to create images that celebrated the beauty and power of women as life bringers and nurturers. The 'Sun goddess' immediately came to mind as it represents the feminine divine, a symbol of light and life in African history and mythology.
This is what inspired me.

How long has Halleluya Onyeoziri loved photography:

I’ve loved photography for over 6 years, it started from University days and that love keeps growing everyday.

How they discovered their passion for photography:

I discovered photography in University. I used to take pictures of all my friends and even random people with my phone. I snap them, add colours and send back to them. Whenever I see anything fascinating, especially plants and sunset, first thing I do is to bring out my phone. I was also fascinated with the angles I took pictures. This was how I knew photography was for me.
