Photo Story:
I was a photographer in Rccg gap, Dubai. This is bro Sunny. He’d always been known as the quiet dreamer in the choir member, the one who wrote lyrics in the margins of his notebooks but rarely shared them with anyone. Yet, in his heart, he felt a constant pull toward music—a yearning to let his voice soar in front of a crowd. One day, the music director announced an upcoming Friday service then because we normally have our church service on Friday, giving ministration to minister. His hands shook as he filled out the sign-up sheet, but he was determined to follow the calling that had lingered in him for so long. He spent the weeks leading up to the upcoming service rehearsing every night, working on each note until his voice resonated with the passion he felt inside. When the moment finally came, he stepped on stage in his tailored jacket, microphone in hand, heart pounding against his chest. As the first chords of the music played, he closed his eyes, took a deep breath, and began to sing. At first, his voice wavered, reflecting the nerves he’d been trying to push down. But then he remembered why he was there—the joy of sharing his gift, the hope that his song might touch someone’s heart. By the second verse, he was no longer just singing; he was pouring out every emotion he’d held onto for years. All the members felt it too, captivated by the raw honesty of his ministration. Some people closed their eyes, moved by the words and the depth of his voice. Others swayed gently, letting the music fill the room. In that moment, it was as though the world had melted away, leaving only him and the power of his song. Each note was a testament to the dreams he once kept hidden. By the time he reached the final chorus, tears glistened in his eyes, and the crowd erupted in applause. He lowered the microphone slowly, heart full and spirit at peace. It wasn’t just about applause or recognition—it was about finally letting the music inside him break free. From that day forward, he vowed never to hide his gift again. He realized that when he sang, he wasn’t just finding his own voice; he was also giving hope to everyone who listened, reminding them that sometimes the quietest dreamers have the most powerful songs to sing. And God take all the glory.
